Day 60 - Saturday 12 March - Hamelin Bay (Campsite)

Chatting with neighbour campers.  They are on their first trip with a new car and both nervous and proud.

Waiting for breakfast at a hotel along the road to Margaret River.  Charles, please note my blouse ...

We arrive early afternoon at Hamelin Bay,  A beatiful location with direct access to the Indian Ocean.
Although there are quite a few campers, the beach is far from crowded.   The coastline is rough.  Deeply eroded limestone with patches and stetches of the finest sand.

The tide rose, as we were around the corner, Hans and I, and we had to calculate our return carefully.  The surf was strong and the waves quite high.  Swimming is impossible and there are only a few surfers.

Limestone rock formation.

We saw only a few, but quite big, Sting Rays and a small one.

Unfortunately the old Jetty will, soon be gone.   The reason could be, that Sting Rays are now protected and boating is no longer allowed.

We normally keep our spot neat and tidy and lay the table with a white tablecloth.  But today, as it cooled down at sunset, nobody seemed to care - and we went to bed at 7:15 pm !!!
