Day 49 - Wednesday, 2 March - Toodyay (pronounce "2j")

Our beach- and barefoot life will be over for a week or so.  Due to daily use of sunscreen 50, we never got burnt by the sun.

Ledge Point - a last view on the Turquoise Coast.

We have a couple of days before the arrival,of Hans and Inga, in Perth, on Saturday.  We have loved the beaches and the lagoons, but these last days the wind has been too strong and the nights too cold.

Therefore we dediced to go for a ride in the Avon Valley.

We go by the backroads, through dry land, green land, farmland. Gum tree forests, back to harvested fields.  We are back in the wheatbelt and find melon and mangoes to buy along the road.  Not many, but good ones.

The region around Gingin is covered with wineries, and ae find back the one where we purchased on the way up: "Donald Riseborough".  12 bottles and 6 glasses richer we leave for Toodyay.

We are allowed to collect as many small, blue grapes as we can carry.
