Day 55 - Monday, 7 March - Collie River Campsite

Our itinerary today is Mandurah-Pinjarra-Dwellingup-Bodding ton-Maradong-Quindannung-Collie.

A last look at the Peel-Harvey Estuary close to Mandurah - after breakfast.

Since Perth we have been driving through small and big residential areas.  Mandurah feels like a suburb to Perth.

Now we are finally at the country side with forest, fields, sheep and cattle.  Around 11, we reach Pinjarra and a cool drink.

We have seen quite a few horse boxes in and around the city.  And indeed, the "Pinjarra Gold Cup" is to start in one hour.  Till then, there is heavy bidding on the "York Race", en direct.  All that takes place in a small and dark room behind the bar.

11 am - a beer helps.

"Ye Olde Quindanning Inne" on the scenic road to Collie.

Change of plans ?  Again ?

The is a huge pipeline along the road.  Water supply for  not only Collie, but another 20 hamlets.

This was a long day with too many kilometers.  We will do better as of tomorrow.

Just now we are happy to find a very lovely and quiet place at "Collie River Campsite".

Hans and Inga are in their last stage of jetlag.  We are all tired.  Cardgame will be for tomorrow.
