Day 59 - Friday, 11 March - Gracetown (Campsite)

Today we leave luxury to go back to camping and sandy feet and sharing bathroom with all kind of people.  

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.

A lighthouse has its own "signature".  This one has 2,5 - 2,5 - 7,5 seconds between flashes.  Like one 400 kms north of here .... the one on Rottnest Island, 60 kms west of Freemantle-Perth.  

It opened 1904 and is still operational, but no longer manually.

It took 50 men 10 months to build this lighthouse and two cottages, in 1930.

How often does one get the honour of hoisting the Australien flag ?

The biggest cave in Australia - maybe for another time .....

"Swings and Roundabouts" winery.  Things are different in Australia .... you look, you chose, ypu pay, nobody serves and, therefore, no tips.

Mothersick seagull.  The young ones can fly already and look like the grown-ups.  But thet just blow their feathers and squeeks, when the mother is close.   Ever so pityful to watch.
