We do the "Pepper Trail" at Peron Homestead, a bit north of town and learn about sheep and shearing.
Up till WW II the Peron shearing operations were based in downtown Denham. They were then moved out of town, away from the Pub to Peron Homestead, a few kilometers north of Denham, on the Cape Peron dust-road.
The tour is well documented with good illustrations ...
It took two months to gather 210.000 sheep from what now is called François Péron National Park, an area of 52.000.
They were driven to the farm to numbered, "treated" and shorn.
"Artesian" tub (40*C, 480 m, 1922) - first clouds for weeks and face net for protection against the flies.
We are back just in time to see a group of Emus come to bath at the beach in front of our room.
And this was the end of a last day in Denham.
